Die Performance Another effort to blow it ist eine Kaskade sorgfältig verschlungener Worte. Mitten im Schwimmbadgeschehen platziert setzt sich Wohnhaas der Macht des Lärmes aus. Wo Worte Einfluss hatten, scheinen sie hier keinen zu haben. Ein Spiel aus tatenlosen Möglichkeiten konfrontiert die Zuschauenden wie auch die Performerin mit einer vermeintlichen Mittellosigkeit, die an den Umgang mit aktuellen Krisen erinnert.
Mara Wohnhaas, geboren 1997 in Karlsruhe, studiert an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf in der Klasse von Rita McBride.

The performance Another effort to blow it is a cascade of carefully entwined words. Placed in the middle of the swimming pool action, Wohnhaas exposes herself to the power of noise. Where words had influence, they seem to have none here. A game of inaction confronts the spectators as well as the performer with a supposed destitution reminiscent of how we deal with current crises.
