Constant Dullaart
#MyBoDYmonAMOUR, 2019
Print on wood, 150×150cm
Against the backdrop of the swimming pool stands a photo wall showing two synchronized swimmers. Cutouts above their necks invite swimmers to stick their heads through and get their pictures taken. With his piece #MyBoDYmonAMOUR, Constant Dullart criticizes self-portrayal in social media. If the bathers post their picture on Instagram and use the correct hashtags, then within 48 hours they will receive 32 comments from bots programmed by the artist. These comments make up a poem. The user feels the joy of receiving this unusually high number of comments, followed by the alienation of realizing that bots have written them a love poem.
