On the first evening, costume designer and performer Lea Søvsø sings melancholic songs along musician Roman Lemberg. They will be supported by sound designer Vera Pulido.
Roman Lemberg is a performer, musician and music dramaturge, arranger and composer. His artistic practice is characterized by an exploration of the medium of opera / music theater. With the Berlin-based collective HAUEN & STECHEN, he is dedicated to reshaping the great myths of opera history in formats that transcend genre boundaries. Roman Lemberg frequently works with visual artists, such as Leila Hekmat and Kris Lemsalu, in a variety of formats. With visual artist and director Michael Kleine, he creates an ongoing series of concerts, performances and exhibitions.
Lea Søvsø, born 1982 in Denmark, lives and works as a costume designer and performance artist in Berlin. She studied costume design at the UdK Berlin with Professor Florence von Gerkan and was a guest student in free art with Professor Hito Steyerl, UdK. Since 2007 she has worked as a freelance costume designer for theater and film, including collaborations with the performance group She She Pop, Hito Steyerl, René Pollesch, Amir Reza Koohestani, the music theater collective HAUEN & STECHEN, Julia Langhof, Nurkan Erpulat and Ensemble modern. As a performance artist she has had group and solo exhibitions at Senats Reservespeicher Berlin, Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Kunst-Werke (Berlin), Kino Arsenal (Berlin), Det andet rum (Copenhagen) and Bétonsalon (Paris).
