Empathy When, Season 2, Episode 1: Kasia Fudakowski
For the first conversation I'm delighted to be joined by Kasia Fudakowski. I've long admired Kasia's visual art and was very excited when she published last month her 'autobiographicatalogue' The Roll of The Artist - Volume One (Strzelecki Books). As the blurb has it, it's her 288-page 'elaborate yet fragmented answer to an ex-boyfriend who asked: “So you call yourself an artist?”'. I'll keep it brief here: it's really good. And I can't wait to talk to her about it.
Kasia Fudakowski was born 1985 in London. She studied at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art at Oxford University before moving to Berlin in 2006. She works in the media of sculpture, text, video and performance and is often concerned with humor, embarrassment and irony. Kasia Fudakowski shows her work worldwide in solo and group exhibitions, among others in the Lodos Gallery, Mexico City (2017), in the Kunsthalle Baden Baden (2018), and in the Art Museum St. Gallen (2019).
Turn up, tune in. A unique chance to listen in on a conversation between artists and writers, Empathy When is a live podcast conversation series. Hosted by John Holten, novelist and editor with Broken Dimanche Press, each week a different writer chats about life and writing on the terrasse of Tropez. This is then mixed and released as a podcast episode.
Broken Dimanche Press podcast series at TROPEZ is part of TOUCHE-MOI!.
