In different locations of the swimmingpool area Roy plays pieces from his solo album Bach-Zen on his flute, ranging from European Baroque to Japanese music. Julian is moved by the music and dances. The performance focuses on the sensual, intimate connection of these historically interwoven disciplines. Furthermore, it deals with the relation between the mythological figure and archetype of the flute player and its seductive power over the seduced.
Julian Weber is a choreographer and dancer, as well as visual artist and set-designer. He studied sculpture at HBK Brunswick and The Academy of Arts Vienna and choreography at HZT Berlin and the Theaterschool in Amsterdam. She works intensively on spaces of interaction involving body, material and movement, intersecting formats of visual and performance art. He also develops scenographic concepts in collaboration with various artists, curates different events and runs NEW FEARS - a gallery for dance and performance in Berlin Wedding. In 2015 she received the Berlin Art Prize.
Roy Amotz, born in Jerusalem in 1982, lives in Berlin and performs worldwide as a soloist and in chamber music. His repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music. In 2013 he received his concert diploma majoring in flute and in 2017 his master's degree in early music at the Berlin University of the Arts, both with distinction. Since 2013, Roy Amotz has been principal flute of the Camerata Geneva Orchestra and a member of the Tel Aviv Wind Quintet. As a soloist, he has performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra and the Scottish BBC among others. In 2017, he founded Music & Beyond with the goal of creating a transformative experience for audiences and performers through classical music while connecting classical music to the present.
