In the three-day workshop SPLASH SINNE, you'll explore your five senses through movement and sound games. Together with Canadian poet and performance artist Bitsy Knox and Argentine artist Vivi Abelson, you will explore how seeing, smelling, hearing, feeling and tasting relate to water and, most importantly, the world around you.
During the summer holidays, TROPEZ presents the children's art programme 1,2,3, SOLEIL. It consists of workshops conceived by the artists participating in REALITY. The programme is geared towards children and young people of the neighbourhood and allows the young participants to casually encounter different art forms in a casual way. This year the children can produce a radio show, explore their bodies and bring a musical theatre piece into fruition on stage.
Berlin-based artist Viviana Abelson combines rigid forms with elastic materials in her installations and sculptures. Using industrially manufactured materials such as steel, rubber and leather, she creates archaic-looking objects that seem to fulfil a ritual function and invite interaction. Most recently, they were shown in solo exhibitions at the Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden and at Graf von Westphalen in Frankfurt.
Berlin-based poet and performer Bitsy Knox also works as a radio host. Knox's show Something Like airs twice a week on Cashmere Radio Berlin and CHFR Hornby Island Community Radio. 2020 also saw the release of her album Your Body and her book Meaningless Secrets. As a poet, she has recently performed in Amsterdam at W139, in Berlin at KW Institute for Contemporary Art, and in Perpignan at Une Une Une.
