For Réelle is a memorial performance and a spontaneous monument. The installation performance brings the memory of the musician Réelle into the present, who took her own life in 2019, and reminds the audience of how precious physical presence has become in recent months. Blinderman reached out to Aya: he was only familiar with Réelle through her music, but the musician Aya knew Réelle personally. Based on their memories of Réelle, they create an impermanent musical monument that the visitors of the performance experience in the park of TROPEZ.
The French artist and curator Kévin Blinderman (*1994 in Paris) is the co-founder of the Queer Is Not A Label parties. In 2020 he participates in the Berlin Program for Artists and the Studio Berlin group exhibition in Berghain in Berlin.
Aya is a Manchester-based musician and poet from the Pennines of Northern England. Her work is primarily concerned with the transfigurative power of experience memory on the physical body.
